Group 1 - Upgrade Dotnet 8 to Dotnet 10

Infrastructure improvements were completed across key services to ensure continued stability, security and supportability. No functional changes were made for end users.

Angular 21

Upgrade Club & County Portal to Angular 21

Club Portal has been upgraded to the latest platform framework and shared component library. This behind-the-scenes improvement helps maintain security, performance and long-term supportability. 

  • Upgraded core Club Portal technology components. 

  • Improved compatibility with the latest shared user interface standards. 

  • Enhanced long-term stability and maintainability. 


Fast Track Discipline

Grassroots Discipline Fast Track - Rule Updates and Enhancements

Several enhancements have been made to the Fast Track discipline process to improve usability, workload management and regulatory compliance. These changes provide clearer information and better visibility for County FA users. 

  • Prevented charge results from being shown until outcomes have been formally issued. 

  • Expanded Fast Track offer listings to display all offer statuses by default. 

  • Added action counts to highlight offers requiring attention. 

  • Updated offer wording to improve clarity and consistency. 

  • Improved response deadline rules for second offers to ensure the correct regulatory timelines are applied. 


Production issues

Several production issues have been resolved to improve reliability and ensure business processes work as expected. These fixes address known issues impacting affiliation, discipline debt and team creation. 

  • Fixed an issue preventing U7 Futsal teams from being created correctly. 

  • Corrected discipline debt calculations when overdue invoices are cancelled. 

  • Implemented a permanent fix for affiliation validation errors that were causing application failures. 


Notifications Re-platforming 

Notification Replatform - Creation of common blocks: Reusable templates 

Notification templates have been updated to support consistent branding across FA communications. This lays the foundation for a more maintainable and scalable notification platform. 

  • Updated email templates with the latest England Football branding. 

  • Centralised branding so future updates can be made more efficiently. 

  • Improved consistency across all email communications. 

Notification Replatform - Notification Azure function

The notification platform has been enhanced to support sending a single notification to multiple recipients. This improves efficiency and simplifies notification delivery across FA products. 

  • Added support for notifications with multiple recipients. 

  • Reduced duplicate notification processing. 

  • Improved scalability of the notification service. 

Notifications Replatform - Clubs Notifications

New affiliation-related notifications have been delivered to keep clubs informed throughout the affiliation process. Users now receive clearer updates at key stages of an application’s lifecycle. 

  • Added notifications when affiliation applications are approved and awaiting payment. 

  • Added notifications when affiliation applications are completed. 

  • Added notifications when affiliation applications are cancelled. 

  • Added notifications when affiliation applications are rejected. 

  • Added notifications when affiliation refunds are processed. 

Notifications Replatform - DCS Notifications

New account management and player registration notifications have been introduced to improve communication with players, parents, clubs and County FAs. These notifications help keep users informed about important account and registration activity. 

  • Added notifications for account profile changes, including name, medical information, nationality, gender, place of birth and emergency contacts. 

  • Added alerts for County FAs when name change requests are submitted or unsuccessful. 

  • Added notifications for player registration invitations and club join requests. 

  • Added notifications when players are added to clubs. 

  • Added notifications for youth player parent/carer verification and email capture journeys. 

  • Added notifications supporting account activation and user verification. 

Notifications Replatform - Discipline Notifications

A new set of grassroots discipline notifications has been delivered to improve awareness of cases, sanctions and actions requiring attention. Clubs can now receive regular updates and key discipline alerts automatically. 

  • Added notifications when misconduct charges are raised. 

  • Added notifications when charge results and sanctions become available. 

  • Added weekly suspension summary notifications. 

  • Added weekly discipline case summary notifications. 

  • Updated discipline notifications to support multiple recipients. 

Notifications Replatform - Leagues Notifications 

Competition sanction communications have been expanded to improve visibility of application outcomes. Competition administrators are now informed when applications are cancelled. 

  • Added notifications when competition sanction applications are cancelled. 

  • Improved communication of competition application outcomes. 

Notifications Replatform - New Notifications

Additional discipline notifications have been introduced for both clubs and individuals. These updates ensure key stakeholders are informed about new cases, charges and disciplinary outcomes. 

  • Added notifications directly to individuals when charges are raised. 

  • Added notifications directly to individuals when charge results are issued. 

  • Added notifications to clubs about newly created discipline cases. 

Notifications Replatform - Safeguarding Notifications

New safeguarding and DBS notifications have been introduced to improve compliance and ensure timely action by individuals and safeguarding teams. These notifications provide reminders and alerts throughout the DBS lifecycle. 

  • Added notifications when DBS applications require safeguarding review. 

  • Added notifications when DBS applications are cleared following safeguarding review. 

  • Added reminders when DBS checks are approaching expiry. 

  • Added notifications when DBS checks have expired. 

  • Improved safeguarding team visibility of DBS-related activity. 


Safeguarding Visits 

County Portal - Listing Page 

The County Portal club visits functionality has been released to all County FAs. This expands access to safeguarding visit capabilities and allows counties to begin using and providing feedback on the feature. 

  • Rolled out the Club Visits area to all County FAs. 

  • Enabled access to safeguarding visit management within County Portal.
