Player Registrations transparency between Academy and Grassroots.

This season The FA added to SCORY 18 B (ii) that some academy registered players and trial players under 11 years of age are permitted to play in grassroots teams.  Consent must be given/received before they are permitted to play in a grassroots team. 

Can it be requested that academies register players. It would make for best practice to have all academies using a players FAN number to register signed and on trial players inline with club registrations. This would also help the FA to monitor to where players are and the rotation of players, how long are they staying in the academies and if going else where. It would also help to see if and how many academy players once dropped go back in to grassroots football., from my experience its not many. 

in addition if a marker or note can be added to the players FAN, indicating if they can or can not play for a grassroots teams this would help clubs and leagues know and save a lot of time.  I am sure there are academy signed players out there that are playing for grassroots teams with out having the relevant permission. 

Having transparency would protect most importantly the players but in turn the clubs and league and save a lot of time.
