DBS FAQ's

Q: Who gets a notification when a DBS applicant is added to the club and needs verification completed? 

Once an application is at the point of verification by the organisation (so self-verification has not been selected, or it has failed), all verifiers who are associated the club which the application is linked to will receive a notification


Q: If I am a verifier, how do I apply for my own DBS?

This will need to be initiated via your County FA (however you will need to use a different email address to the one on your current FAN)


Q: As a County FA, how do I initiate a DBS for a non-volunteer?

This will be done the same as initiating a DBS for an official. The applicant will need to select the correct role type [paid workforce] within the application. The Terms & Conditions confirm that it is the responsibility of the applicant to select the correct role. 


Q: Can I choose to opt-out of digital ID?

There is no option to Opt-out of self-verification, however if the applicant does not meet the requirements for documentation, then they will automatically go through the traditional verification process


Q: What password do I use to log-in to Know Your People?

The same one that you initially set-up with Online Disclosures can be used in fachecks.knowyourpeople.co.uk 


Q: What happens to any applications still in progress on WGS?

Any unpaid applications will be cancelled and need to be re-started in Club Portal
