So, you may have created your own account, but what about your kids? People under the age of 16 will not be allowed to create their own FA account, so luckily until then, you can assign them to yours.
For example, if you're a parent and your 5-11 year old daughter wants to be a Weetabix Wildcat, you will need to add them to your FAN so that they can play and book onto sessions.
Once you have created an account for yourself, just go to myaccount.thefa.com and sign in. You should see the below screen for this:
After signing in, you will be taken to your account details. Underneath your initial information, there is a section which shows children who can be attached and linked to your account. It will show the children currently linked - whilst giving you a chance to add more by pressing 'Add Another '.
When you press 'Add Another Child', you can then fill in the child's name and date of birth that you want to link to your account. Confirm this by clicking 'Add Child'.
The page will then go back to your details and show the new child that you have added linked to your account, generating a FAN for them in the process. This means that you do not have to go through the process of creating a new FA account on behalf of a child.
The parent/guardian will now be able to book events and sessions on the FA Events Platform for the youth on their FAN. Repeat this process for any more youths that you wish to attach to your account. When the child reaches 16 years old, the account will separate.
