You can easily link a Parent/Carer by adding their email address into the Email Capture tab. We'd recommend only using the method below if you're unable to use the Email Capture Function to save duplicated data

Creating a parent/carer
1. In the "All Players' tab, click on the player you wish to add the parent/ carer too
2. Select "create parent/carer"

3. Add in the parent/ carers details and click "create carer"
You will then see the parent/ carer on the players record
Search an existing parent
This is if the parent already has a FAN number. You will need the parents first and last name, DOB and gender.
1. In the "All Players' tab, click on the player you wish to add the parent/ carer too
2. Select "search parent/carer"
3. Enter the parents details (first name and last name, date of birth and gender) This will bring up the parents details, ready for you to attach. Click select next to the parent and click confirm.
We use email address and date of birth to confirm the identification of individuals. Validating the identity of Parents/Carers is key to the safeguarding of our young participants and vulnerable adults.
Whilst some people may be used to providing two unique identifiers, the addition of a DOB, allows us to add a third and ensure parents being linked are legitimate.
This parent will now show as being linked to the player
